How do I install CUPS and assign an IP address to my Star Ethernet Printer via Web Browser on Mac OS X? (Mountain Lion, Lion, Snow Leopard, Leopard)

Answer

The PDF in the Downloads section of this FAQ details how to install the CUPS driver and assign an IP address to a Star Micronics Ethernet Printer via Web Browser on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, 10.6 Snow Leopard, and 10.5 Leopard.

Setting the IP Address via web browser should be done if DHCP is enabled on the network, and when the printer can automatically receive an IP Address upon connection.
